You may never see a crow's nest.
I feel fortunate that the crow's built a nest in our trees.
But l'm sad that somehow the baby's ended up on the sidewalk
in front of our place, they died after a day or two, except one.
Now l generally don't interfere with nature, well there was that
once l help my cat kill a rabbit, oh and then there was that time
l had to shoot a wounded deer on the highway, but usually...
A friend took the last sickened baby crow, but he didn't make it.

I am not a veteran of the heat.
I am a fall kind of guy, summer is complacent.
I am putting a new roof on this little home,
so no story this week, maybe you'll come back
late next week and l'll will show you something.
---------------goodbye

Wonderfully beautiful and poignant photo and text, Ken!
There is this small crow wood near my home. If a bird of prey approaches, it is usually driven out by hundreds of angry crows. Sometimes I see dead baby birds, like the one on the photo, lying underneath their nests. Very sad.
Thank you Sandra. :) I hope the rains have stopped for you.
Jenny, thank you for coming by, l appreciate that.
Beautiful post Ken!
Your family is also beautiful!
Roofing..... don't hurt yourself!
I can't figure out what you used in the piece at the bottom. tile? paper? it's a mystery. love it!

Thank you Manon. :) The mosaic is made from old floor lino. I like haunting old abandoned shacks, l steal the old boards, rusty nails, floor lino, wallpaper, old lady sitting in the rocker. :)
Caio, you put a smile on my face. your an interesting guy. We'll have grappa and a cigar next time l'm in your woods.
That is very sad, about the baby crows. I always feel so honoured when birds nest in my space. It's hard not to get attached.
Your right Rachel. I'm not sure what knocked them out of the nest, perhaps a racoon.
Thanks for coming by. :)
there is a post with a link to your blog on my blog now .
if you don't like it , tell me , no problem and i take it out .
The crow is very touching....
I am the lucky one who can watch every year two blackbird lovers and their baby's in my garden.
